Sumit Saha was born in West Bengal where he live until his graduation. He received his post graduate degree in Chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. After completing post graduation he joined as Junior Research Fellow at Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. After competing his doctoral degree he has joined to the National Institute of Technology Sikkim as Assistant Professor in Chemistry. His present research interest is asymmetric synthesis of Natural Products using carbohydrate as Chiral Template and chemical investigation of medicinally potent plant.
